Extra Curriculars
At Fennville Middle School, education goes beyond textbooks and tests; it's a vibrant playground for exploration and self-discovery, with extracurricular activities serving as the heart and soul of that adventure! These activities are not merely "extra"—they are essential for shaping well-rounded individuals. By joining clubs, sports teams, or artistic endeavors, our students unlock a treasure trove of skills beyond the classroom—leadership, teamwork, creativity, and resilience, to name a few.Extracurriculars at Fennville offer a safe space for students to connect with peers who share similar passions and interests, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie. Whether it's scoring goals on the soccer field, rocking out in the school band, or getting creative with the art club, diving into these activities is not just about having fun—it's about growing, thriving, and embracing the middle school journey with open arms. Through these experiences, Fennville students learn to balance their academic responsibilities with personal interests, preparing them for a future filled with diverse opportunities and challenges.
Mathletes
Our MS Mathletes compete in a program called Math Counts each year, which is a competitive math problem solving competition series. In this program we make learning math fun. We believe middle school is a critical juncture when a love of math must be encouraged, and a fear of math must be overcome. Our programs build problem solving skills and positive attitudes about math, so students embrace challenges and expand their academic and career opportunities in the future. Along with these points students also learn technology, working collaboratively on problems, and perseverance. At the end of the season, we will compete against other top schools from around west Michigan at the regional competition hosted by Western Michigan University.
