Extra Curriculars

At Fennville Middle School, learning goes beyond textbooks and tests—it's a place for exploration, creativity, and self-discovery. Extracurricular activities are at the heart of that adventure!

By joining clubs, sports teams, or artistic programs, students develop skills that go far beyond the classroom—leadership, teamwork, creativity, and resilience. These activities also give students a space to connect with other students who share their interests, building friendships and a real sense of belonging.

Whether it’s scoring goals on the soccer field, performing in the school band, or getting creative with the art club, getting involved isn’t just about having fun—it’s about growing, thriving, and making the most of the middle school experience. Through these experiences, Fennville students learn to balance academics with personal passions, preparing them for a future full of opportunities and new challenges.

Mathletes

Our MS Mathletes compete in a program called Math Counts each year, which is a competitive math problem solving competition series.  In this program we make learning math fun. We believe middle school is a critical juncture when a love of math must be encouraged, and a fear of math must be overcome. Our programs build problem solving skills and positive attitudes about math, so students embrace challenges and expand their academic and career opportunities in the future. Along with these points students also learn technology, working collaboratively on problems, and perseverance.  At the end of the season, we will compete against other top schools from around west Michigan at the regional competition hosted by Western Michigan University.
