Fine Arts
Fennville Middle School has been enjoying experimenting and learning about different art mediums throughout the school year so far. Students get experience learning different techniques and creating artwork based on a theme, which is always fun to see the originality and more of their personality in each work of art. Throughout each marking period students have the chance to have their art featured outside the art room in the FMS Artwork Showcase, where art is displayed for all to see in the building. Art is valuable for not only students in art, but students outside the classroom to experience. It adds color to the hallways and helps students learn something about one another in a way that goes beyond words. Images are universal, when people look at art they see something different and it speaks to them based on their life experiences. Through the process of art making students slow down, focus, and may even end up surprising themselves with what they end up with. Band
Under the direction of FHS Alumni, Andy Garcia, Fennville Middle School offers band for grades 6 - 8. The bands perform multiple concerts throughout the year.
Choir
6th & 8th graders get the opportunity to perform in the Middle School Choir under the direction of Jocelyn Leonard.
